Dr. Araya is an honors graduate Medical Doctor from the Autonomous University of Central America (Costa Rica). He completed his General Surgery training for the University of Costa Rica as Chief Resident in San Juan de Díos General Hospital. Dr. Araya maintains his private practice in the San José suburb of Guadalupe.

His Plastic, Reconstructive, and Cosmetic Surgery residency was completed at The National Autonomous University of México (México, City), and The General Hospital of México. Dr. Araya is certified by the Mexican Board of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Cosmetic Surgery... and, he is a member of the Mexican Council of Plastic Surgery as well as the Mexican Society of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Araya is affiliated with the Ibero-latin-American Federation of Plastic Surgeons and in Costa Rica he is Board Certified by the Medical College of Doctors and Surgeons of Costa Rica. Dr. Araya is Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Costa Rica and member of the Medical Staff of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive Surgery and The National Burn Unit at San Juan de Díos General Hospital(San José, Costa Rica).

Surgical Fees
Please call or submit an email for our very affordable Surgical Fees Schedule for elective surgery. Fees are usually paid in advance to secure Surgical and Hospital reservations. Furthermore, this assures the patient that there will be no unexpected charges.

Hospital Information
All surgeries are performed in a modern, private hospital in San José... for your comfort and safety. We are equipped with the most advanced equipment, operating under the strictest standards and sterilization techniques required by the American Hospital Association. Patients are required to check into the hospital on the morning of the surgery and can expect to remain in the hospital for one night following major surgery. Recovery or after care accommodations provide continued recuperation for the patient. We suggest 12 days for major surgeries. Hospital fees are included in the schedule of surgeries.

After Care Accommodations (Recovery Retreat)
Our patients can lodge at our lovely "Recovery Retreat". Included are all meals daily, medical supervision, transportation to and from the airport, and all transportation to and from the Clinic and Doctor's office.

TOURIST PACKAGES AVAILABLE: (optional) Not included in the total cost.
