As a world trend, it has been shown how more and more brands are using scent in their marketing strategies. Smell is the sense that is most directly connected with memory and emotions. It is capable of altering our perceptions, reducing anxiety, uplifting our mood and triggering our memory.
Studies made by the “Scent Marketing Institute of New York” show that consumers spend more time on scented rooms, which in turn causes an increase in sales of up to 30%. It has also been revealed that hospital patients reduce their anxiety in waiting rooms, and hotel guests return with more frequency, all this as a consequence of the sensations caused by scents.
